My parents asked me what I plan to do with my degree, not that I think they care, viewing education as an end in itself, much like myself. I told them that I plan to have a degree, and perhaps use it to pursue further degrees. My mother looked at me, shook her head in amusement, and said that I was just like my parents. Hehehe.
